This is a book about a guy who follows his girlfriend to the island of Tarawa in Kiribati for 2 years because she gets a job with an NGO there.
A friend of mine is going to the Solomon Islands for a year (Guadalcanal) and he recommended it. It is really funny yet scary how the 21st century has caught up with the local people and their culture.
