Blackberry etiquette?

Ok, I'm horrified and felt the need to share:
I don't have a Crackberry, but several people in my office do and tote them everywhere they go. I was just in the men's room and hearing strange clicking noises. It took a moment, but I realized that someone was sitting down and using their Blackberry while conducting other business. Methinks this is a horrible breach of etiquette and all that is decent in this world. I don't bring my phone in there, why would you bring a Blackberry.

LOL! Yeah, that's pretty bad. I have to say as a Blackberry user I would take it to the bathroom, but I wouldn't use it if someone else could hear me.

hmm, intersting. I guess I don't really see the problem because no one is harmed or offended by the action, which would seem to be the minimum requirement for a breach of etiqette. In this regard I see talking on the phone and blackberrying as completely incomparable -- talking on the phone while otherwise occupied is not an option. I would, however, change my tune if said blackberrier left the bathroom, went up to a friend and was like "hey check out this message on my blackberry" and handed it to said friend. even though the friend wouldn't be the wiser, that's just not right.

Hi, my name is Christopher, and I have checked my Blackberry while a) driving, b) at the urinal.

I experienced a breach of BB etiquette today when I received an email from someone to whom I was giving a presentation DURING the presentation. Jeesh, I thought I was very, very compelling.
